Privacy Policy.

Last updated: May 30, 2026

VIA is an infrastructure for personalized opportunity discovery, built and operated by theVelopers sp. z o.o.. We process millions of public signals, and we built privacy and compliance into the architecture rather than bolting them on. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have under the GDPR.

01

Who we are

The data controller is theVelopers sp. z o.o., the company behind VIA. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at contact@thevia.ai.

02

Scope of this policy

This policy covers personal data we process through this website — including the VIA waitlist and demo requests — and the data handling behind the VIA product. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, which have their own policies.

03

Data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:

  • Waitlist & contact data — the email address you submit, your country, and your demo-request details.
  • Consent records — the text and version of the consent you gave, plus the time, page URL and user agent, kept as proof of consent.
  • Usage & device data — basic, privacy-preserving analytics about how the site is used (pages, approximate region, device type).
  • Public signals — within the product, VIA processes publicly available information from EU sources. Where such information relates to identifiable people, we handle it under the safeguards described below.
04

How we use your data & legal bases

We rely on the following GDPR legal bases (Art. 6(1)):

  • Consent — Art. 6(1)(a). Sending you waitlist and product-launch updates, where you opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f). Running and securing the site, understanding aggregate usage, and processing public signals to deliver the VIA service — balanced against your rights and freedoms.
  • Contract — Art. 6(1)(b). Providing services you request, such as scheduling a demo.
  • Legal obligation — Art. 6(1)(c). Meeting accounting, tax and other statutory requirements.
05

Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and remember your cookie choice; analytics cookies help us understand usage in aggregate. You choose your preference in the consent banner shown on your first visit, and you can change it at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site, which brings the banner back.

Non-essential cookies are only set after you accept them. Rejecting them does not affect access to the site.

06

AI processing & transparency

VIA uses automated systems to weigh public signals against a profile and surface relevant opportunities. In line with the EU AI Act, every recommendation is labeled, explainable and auditable — there are no black-box decisions. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing without a meaningful human safeguard.

07

Sharing & processors

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under data-processing agreements — for example our EU-based hosting and privacy-preserving analytics providers — and where required by law.

08

International transfers & hosting

We host and process data within the EU. Where a transfer outside the EEA is ever necessary, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

09

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Waitlist data is retained until you withdraw consent or up to 24 months after launch, whichever comes first. Consent records are kept for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance. Aggregate analytics are retained on a limited, rolling basis.

10

Security

Security is designed into the architecture. We apply AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, EU-only hosting, strict access controls and annual independent security audits, consistent with ISO/IEC 27001 practices.

11

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”);
  • Restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing;
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.

To exercise any of these, email contact@thevia.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (PUODO/UODO).

12

Children

VIA is intended for professional use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

13

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and the law evolve. We will revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
